Utilizing a combined tube involves the assembly of various tubes with slight differences in diameter and/or wall thicknesses into a single Tube. This approach allows for meeting varied strength (Wx) and stiffness (Ix) requirements along the length of the tube, resulting in substantial steel savings, particularly in areas where the Wx and Ix may be lower.
Combined tubes can be produced through different methods, including longitudinal, spiral, and seamless techniques. The longitudinally welded technique is the most commonly employed.
These pipes prove to be highly suitable for robust applications and are frequently employed in scenarios such as mooring posts, guideways, wind turbines, and support structures/foundations within the offshore industry.
In a rapidly changing world with a constant focus of the reduction of CO2 emissions we want to swim along with the current. We do so by providing our customers with smart steel solutions; tailor-made and in-house produced steel products. With the wishes and requirements of the project in mind, we are able to provide our customer with the best suitable solution and tailor-made product. Together with our latest sustainable developments we will deliver steel products in which less steel is needed, or the steel used is recycled, and still command to the wishes and requirements of the customer.
